Hi, I started my ferduino a few days ago and decided to make a build thread. My original plan was to have everything enclosed in a old Wii shell so that's where I started mounting things. I think I'm going to go a different rout with the enclosure now. I'm still waiting on a lot of parts to come in the mail but I got a good start. I edited the time and date area a bit to my liking. I plan on posting pics of every step to help others out that get lost in the process. Here's a picture of what I got going so far.

Since I started the build I been powering using the USB port. It tried a 12v adapter earlier and my tft dims and doesn't respond. It only does it with the tft and w5100 connected at the same time. What would cause this? I know I need a 9v power supply also I'm just waiting on it to be delivered.

Hi!

Should be overheat, the TFT stays dark because the voltage drop.

You can add a small fan or use a voltage between 7 and 9 V.

Best regards.

I have a 9v psu 1.5A and the problem is the draw threw the arduino. mine over heats in seconds and the part next to the barrel plug I cant remember the name of right now because I am getting old. but I have a shield that feeds 5v power backwards in to the arduino that is how I get past it but then you take a chance with doing it that way of over heating the arduino but I have never heard of it happening.

after you get most of this build done you will have a solid controller for your tank

Hi!

With a good power supply you can connect directly on 5 V pin.

Best regards.

Where did you fi d the adapter in the picture I would like to research it for my build.

Hi!

This mini ATX is easy to find google it.

I think it very expensive is better use a PC power supply ATX common or a step down like this with a 12 V power supply.

Best regards.
