Hi Fernando.

I have a problem regarding led fans. I have 2 wire fans for my leds and i followed the schematic to connect them to ferduino but the fans doesn't turn on. I double checked the wiring and seems ok. What is possible went wrong?

Hi, The line is commented. The fans seems to have power, cause the leds they have on it lit up, but they don't start.

Hi.

I solved the power problem, but fans don't turn off when the temperature is below limit or the leds are turn off.

It doesn't helps.

Unplug disable pin from Arduino and plug on 5V directly. It should turn on the fan otherwise there some error on circuit.

I noticed that yesterday the fans didn't stop, now don't start. I plugged the disable pin directly to 5V but the fan didn't start. The only way to turn on the is to plug the fan GRD directly to power GRD.

Hi!

So replace your ULN and double check the circuit.

Assembly it in a breadboard to test before make the PCB.

I Used a new one ULN2003 with a breadboard. The result was the same.

Try some old PC fan, the problem can be this model of fan.

The circuit should work without connect to Arduino.

Try some old PC fan, the problem can be this model of fan.

The circuit should work without connect to Arduino.


I used an old fan i have. The fan turns on but stays always on. When i disconnect the disable pin the fan turns off.

It's always on. I start at 28c when the room temp is 26. When i remove the disable pin, or turn off arduino it turns off. I tried a different disable pin, but it acts the same. Where can i disable debug messages?

Why are you using room temperature as reference? Fans are controlled by heatsink temperature.

The code to control this pin is very simple there no reason for errors. Look for "Parametros" tab.

  {
    myDigitalWrite(desativarFanPin, HIGH);
  }

Sorry, i meant heatsink temperature. I already checked the debug line and it was commented. The if statement it is also correct.

I also noticed that the 4 fans current together is to much for one ULN2003pin. For one fan it works well till now. To turn on all other fans do i have to use a new ULN2003 for each fan or just another pin on the same ULN2003?

I also installed the moonlight. The led lights never turn off is it normal?

I am a heart beat away from installing my led system but i don't want the fans to be turned on 24/7. So any other suggestion would be appreciated.

It's so bad to hear because in circuit page there two images showing the wiring and is very clear the information of 500 mA per fan (in other words per pin). Moreover I asked about current.

In the first image you can see F1, F2.... F7. It mean a fan to each pin, total 7 fans per ULN.

Hi,

I changed my arduino cause i suspected problems. My old one is not recognized by pc any more. With new arduino i have new problems. When DS3231 is on the program can't start and the display stays black. When i remove it, the program starts normally. With old arduino it worked fine. I run the RTC test code and works fine. Is there something to check?

Hi!

Can be many things, bad contact, bad Arduino pins and etc.

Try change the pins for RTC to 18 -19 or 20 -21.
