Problem With Power Supply

Another problem to solve!!!

I'm using a power supply of 12V 50A for turn on relay board, tft, cooler, among others, but for arduino I'm using step down for 9V (lm7809).

When I turn on arduino with supply 9V after 2 hours more or less the TFT gets dark and the program freezes and the same problem it happens when some of the relay turn on and after turn off.

But if I turn on with USB this problem not occur.

After 2 hours or relay turn on and turn off

What do you think???

Hi!

It should be overheat, in your control panel I can't see any cooler for 5V regulator on Arduino.

BTW: Please check the step 9 on this topic to post images correctly.

Hi Rafael,

I use a stepdown converter like This, connected to Vin of the arduino.It is regulated to about 5.4V,just enough to power up te arduino. This way the arduino regulator won't overheat (it doesn't have to convert the 9V>5 V) .You can also use this voltage to power up your temp probes and other devices that need 5V.
