I think I have established, that if I use the W5100, then I need to connect VCC, GND, and ICSP pins. Then I use the SPI.h and Ethernet.h libraries.

I can only get these ethernet shields.
Network Ethernet Lan Shield Module Board W5100

Does anybody know if this is correct for these shields, it is not acceptable to fit this shield to the Mega.

I would like to wire up remotely, do I just wire the ICSP header for ethernet?

If this is correct, then what about SD, is this also on SPI, or does it use other pins?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Jamie.

Thank you. I have searched but search function is not returning very good results. It is best for me to search topic on Google and suffix with ferduino.com.

Also information is quite conflicting. As many description of the ethernet module on other sites uses various pin arrangements.

I just didn't wish to buy numerous items and get wrong.

Regards.

You can connect the ICSP headers using a cable like this:

And a wire between pin 10 (shield) and 53 (Arduino)
