I have the pcf8575 all wired and and I am currently waiting on my 16 relay board to come in the mail. I just now noticed that there is a 8 relay board also. Is this still needed if I use 16 relay board? I plan on using all functions of the ferduino.

Hi!

A relay board with 16 channels should be enough.

I have a relay 7 channels and 8 Amper in my diagram because some devices need of high current as return pump, chiller and heater.

This question was explained here: http://www.ferduino.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1110#p1110

Best regards.

OK, the one I ordered is 10a. Do I need to change anything in the code to move the heater to the 16 relay board? Thank you again for the help.

Edit: Sorry just got up and a little out of it still. I understand now. Thank you.

Yes I changed that. The only one I didn't was the reference to line 843(https://github.com/FernandoGarcia/Fedui ... a.ino#L843) there is not a line 843.

OK, I had it all correct then. This is the 8 relay I already have.

Both the 8 relay and the 16 relay board are ac 250v 10a/dc 30v 10a.

What is the reason for having the return pump ran through a relay? I dont see anywhere in the GUI to turn the pump on or off.

The pump can be connected to a timer or adding some lines of code turn off it during a partial water change by example.

I'm sorry for all the questions. I understand everything else but the relay board. I overthink things sometimes.
